How can I edit Notification Settings? (Ultra)

At NJCU, you have the ability to decide when and how to receive notifications about activity in your Blackboard courses. To do this, go to the Blackboard homepage at blackboard.njcu.edu. In the side menu, click your name.

On the right side of your profile page, in the System Settings blocks, click any of the links in the Global Notification Settings area. A side menu will appear.

Stream Notifications

In the Stream Notifications tab, choose the items you want to appear in your Activity Stream, which can be found in the right sidebar under your name on the Blackboard homepage. Each item has options underneath it, which you can view and change by clicking the arrows next to each item.

Email Notifications

The second tab is Email Notifications. Here, you can decide if you would rather receive an email immediately when an event occurs or if you would prefer to receive one email a day that informs you of all the activity from that day. Check the boxes next to the items you wish to be notified about.

Push Notifications

The final tab is Push Notifications. Here, you can decide what notifications you receive if you are using the Blackboard app. Check the boxes next to the items you want to be notified about.

When you are finished with your notification settings, click Save.
