Why am I required to take remedial (Academic Foundation) courses? Do they count towards my degree?

Scores from the Freshman Placement Test and/or SAT scores may indicate that a student needs to develop certain academic skills to ensure success. As a result, some students may be placed in Academic Foundation courses. These courses do not count toward the 120 credits required for graduation. Students should meet with their advisor to discuss the Math and English placement criteria.
