How can I create a learning module? (Ultra)

Learning Modules in Blackboard Ultra are used to organize content like you would with folders, but with a more integrated feel.

To create a learning module, from the Course Content page, navigate to where you want to add it. Hover over the location you wish to place the content item. Click the purple plus sign that appears. A menu will appear. Click Create.

A side menu will appear. Choose “Learning Module.”

A new piece of content titled “New Learning Module” will appear.

To edit the module title, click its default title, erase it, and type a new one. Hit Enter. To make the module visible to students, click Hidden from students. A menu will appear. Choose Visible to students.

To add a description to the module, click the down arrow to the far right.

Click Add a description and type your description.

To add content to the module, click the purple plus sign that appears under the description. Once you have added an item into the module, you may add more by hovering where you want to add content and clicking the purple plus sign that appears.

The difference between Modules and folders is that, in a learning module, students can navigate through the content within it with arrows on the right and left sides of the content. In folders, students must exit the page to jump to the next one in the folder.
